As the LRDI progressed, it became clear that several of the participants possessed videos of LENR events going back to the beginnings of the field. Consequently, a follow-on initiative was launched to identify, collect, digitize, and publicize as many of the early videos as possible. The effort began with the video collections of Mel Miles and Tom Passell.
During the first decade or so, after the 1989 LENR announcement, the prevailing video recording technology was VHS (for Video Home System), which utilized cassette tapes. Therefore, it was necessary to digitize the VHS tapes not only to be able to make them publicly available, but also to preserve them from inevitable deterioration of a cassette tapes with age.
A dedicated website has been set up to make the videos available for viewing by the LENR community – and beyond. The website now provides over 50 videos organized in seven categories.
| Conferences | Newscasts |
| Documentaries | Presentations |
| Events | Other Videos |
| Interviews |
The name of the website is Cold Fusion Videos, and it may be viewed here.
